I am so excited to review the Kleynimals – an innovative stainless steel baby keys with adorable animal faces. Kleynimals toy keys were created by a mom and are an eco-friendly, non-toxic, American made toy, that are great for parents seeking organic baby products. Kleynimals can be personalized, making them a perfectly unique baby shower or first birthday gift.
Tristan is about 14 months now, and loves anything that makes noises, reflective, spins, or round in shape. Upon receiving the Kleynimals, he had the time of his life shaking it and staring at the tiny reflection of himself on the little animals. Later, he started experimenting different ways to rattle the toy (i.e. wearing it like a bracelet, and throwing it on the floor). I started playing the toy with him (because I was so tired of picking it up off the floor) by holding the main ring and spinning the animal keys and he absolutely LOVED watching the action. It’s been three days since he’s been playing with Kleynimals and he is still excited to see it when I take it out of it’s little bag.
As a parent, we have to consider many things before introducing a toy to our infants. Safety is always top priority, and the other considerations include ease of cleaning, skills enhancing, size, and disturbance. Upon receiving the Kleynimals, I was very impressed with the quality of the product – it was sturdy, with no obvious or sharp edges, the surfaces are not easy to scratch and the animals were very cute indeed. It is also dishwasher safe so super easy to clean, and I love the little bag it comes with for when we go out. Because of the multiple ways babies could play with this toy, I believe it could help my child’s motor skills (especially when he tries to hold the ring in one hand and spin the animal keys in the other). On that note, I am also impressed that the weight of the animals were so ‘balanced’ that the animals keys could spin a VERY long time on the ring. The website also mentions how this toy could be great for teething. Fortunately / unfortunately my son is not currently teething so I couldn’t really comment on that note, but usually he prefers something a little softer to chew on for some ‘give’. I will update this post once I could observe him with the Kleynimals during teething. Lastly, as with all rattles or toys that make noises, all parents will eventually get tired of the sound. Compared to many other sound-making toys Tristan played or is still playing with, the rattling sound of Kleynimals is definitely one of the better ones. Overall, the Kleynimals is an amazing toy for infants – it is safe, durable, easy to clean, and there are multiple ways for infants to enjoy it. Definitely recommend it for other mothers!
